The Future of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Prospect Chart

Alright well I’m no baseball scout or super insider who gets all the scouting reports, but I’m a dedicated fan who has a laptop and knows how to use the internet. With those the resources and the drive to do it, I’ve compiled this list of players that are going to make up the future of the Pittsburgh Pirates. It doesn’t look pretty when I post it on this blog, so here’s the link to the actual spreadsheet file you can open - http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/6/14/68533/Prospects.xlsx

I posted the position players earlier, and I’ve finished up the pitchers now, so I’m going to post them all at once here. So here it goes.

And So It Begins…

The firesale is almost complete. It is possible we could see John Grabow traded, but other than that I don’t think anything else is going to happen until next year, when we could be talking about Matt Capps and Ryan Doumit. All-in-all I think our minor league system is pretty much set and we won’t see any more major names added. So let’s take a look at what we have down there and what we could be seeing in Pittsburgh in the next several seasons.

The excel spreadsheet doesn’t look very good on this blog, so if it bugs you too much you can open the spreadsheet by clicking this link:

Pitchers coming soon. Lastings in Pittsburgh for his debut against the Nationals tomorrow night. Let’s go bucs!
